Did it hurt?
Yes! Its a needle etching into your skin for hours at a time! The discomfort fades in and out, and I find it’s easy to keep myself distracted by other things. The most painful spots for me have been my elbow and elbow ditch, armpits, palms and the hour glass on my tummy. Everyone has different experiences.
Whats the longest you’ve gotten tattooed at once?
Six hours, on my knee
Who designed your tattoos, what do they mean?
Most of my tattoos were my own ideas and custom drawn by the tattoo artists. They all have a personal meaning except one or two that were done more so for the experience. I plan to write about their significance to me in more detail this year.
Why do you get tattoos?
I have been fascinated and visually impressed by tattoos and body modifications since 1995. I think I was influenced by the music I listened to and the research I did when the internet became available to me. Its an art, its a culture, its an unspoken bond. Its a collection of experiences, a sense of pride, and a testimony to willpower. Its sexy. Its a way to be a part of the history, the passion, and the like-minded outcasts. It is an untouchable method of expressing yourself.
Do you have any piercings?
At the moment, I don’t have any! I have four holes in each ear that I don’t often put jewlery in (the bottom holes were stretched to 0 gauge in high school and college). In the past, I have had: both eyebrows, center & bottom right side of my lip, helix, handweb, septum, right nostril, navel, and two in my tongue. They have all been removed for various reasons.
How long have you been modeling?
As an infrequent hobby, for many years. I started actively pursuing modeling in Fall 2009.
When are you visiting ___________?
When my work takes me there! I am well traveled. In 2009 I was in Italy, May 2010 I was in Vancouver, last year I was seen traveling throughout California, Arizona, Chicago, Vegas, Philly, Boston, and Miami. On my way to Denmark February 2011. So who knows!
When is your birthday?
July 22, 1981. I am a Cancer/Leo cusp, born on my mother’s birthday. It was 79 degrees with a light breeze that afternoon. Absolutely no other significant births, deaths, or events occured that day.
Where do you live?
Upstate NY, a two and a half hour train ride to New York city.
Where can I get signed pictures and magazines of you?
You can buy them online (most for about $20) by e-mailing leahjung.info@gmail.com. Numbers are very limited.
Are you signed to an agency?
I am not, but I am looking over management offers/proposals.
I saw someone post something about you singing? Where can I hear that?
There is new music you can listen to, streaming, for free right here on the site in the Music section. A music video I starred in with hip-hop artist, Fitted, can be seen here: http://leahjung.com/2012/01/fitted-i-miss-you-ft-leah-jung-official-video/
Which do you do for a living? Sing or model?
Actually, for the last five years, I’ve edited legislation for the New York government, full time.
Will you marry me?
Probably not
